Hi - I am new to R and to SWMPrats -so this might be a very basic question. Below I describe the my issues. Thank you so much for your help. And thank you for putting this all together - it's an amazing resource and I'm really excited to learn how to use it. best, Wally

I downloaded your pdf - swpr_overview and wanted to follow along.

However, I get an error message when I try to install the package. If I install as directed from the pdf I get this error:

When I try to install using the gui on the right I get this message:

Good morning,

Sometimes the installation fails because you don't have other packages that SWMPr requires. These should be installed automatically with SWMPr but I've noticed a few people having the same issue. The error message says you need to install 'sp', so try that first, then try reinstalling SWMPr. Any new message about missing packages can be addressed similarly.

Just to add to what Marcus said,

I have had to re-install R packages needed to support SWMPr, specifically 'sp' if I recall.

I think it was related to an update to either my own R or that package.

Re-installing the specific packages needed to support SWMPr fixed the problem for me (and was very easy!)

That worked - but I am still getting an error loading rgeos. I will try again.

SWMPr install still fails because now it doesn't have rgeos? Install rgeos, reinstall SWMPr, repeat... just keep doing that until it works. I really wish it was easier but persistence will pay off
