Todd D. O'Brien

Todd O'Brien (This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.) is a marine plankton and ecosystems researcher with NOAA Fisheries and developer of "COPEPOD", a global database of plankton and ecosystem data and data products. Todd has spent much of the last ten years working with plankton and hydrographic time series. He currently manages a cooperative database of over 200 oceanic, shelf, and coastal "marine ecological time series" for ICES, SCOR, and IOC/UNESCO plankton and ecosystems working groups. Through his work with these groups, Todd has hands-on experience with the challenges and methods of comparing disparate time series data from hundreds of different locations, methodologies, sampling frequencies, and variable types.
